When we got there, there were cookies and coffee. I stayed in the Loft. It was quiet and there were nice views surrounding the property from the balcony. The internet was very poor but that my have been because we were in the loft. The breakfast was amazing and they were accommodating to any possible allergies. I had the best bacon of my life that morning and some fantastic pastries. The couple who runs it was nice.

What a wonderful 2 weeks at the High Hill Inn!!! I spent the time at a writers conference at VCFA and the second week writing on the amazing porch at the Inn overlooking the mountains. Beautiful pastoral setting, stunning mountain views, a true country oasis, quiet, spacious, with a small pond and great porch big out back. The Dixons take amazing care of the place and of their guests. They were so very accommodating. I felt like I was home away from home. The breakfasts were made to order! Eggs any style, fresh toasted breads, and homemade mixed berry compote, creamy yogurt, great granola, 8 different tea options, and coffee. Indoors or outdoors as you wish. The rooms are all lovely. The King and queen rooms with mountain views are most beautiful. And the green room that overlooks the front of the property farmland and horses is still sweet for one person or 2 who can share a full sized bed happily. Best kept secret in Vermont. I am already missing the High Hill Inn! Have plans to return in October!! Yey. Thanks, Anna Marie and Joe for everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the High Hill Inn. Ann-Marie and Joe were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and cozy. And the breakfast was amazing! Homemade yogurt, French toast and amazing bacon! All around wonderful!

We were a bit confused at first when we pulled up because it is in a residential area and their sign was being redone. However, once we found the place we found innkeepers that were lovely - welcoming, informative, and hospitable right down to having cookies laid out for us on arrival. The room was wonderful - we were on the third floor and had a tiny balcony and bathroom on our suite (multiple rooms will share a bathroom at this Inn, unless you have the Master Suite). The views from our windows, and those in the communal area of the inn, are fantastic. The High Hill Inn is a very fitting name, as you have a breathtaking view of the mountains from the deck. Breakfast was a delicious locally-sourced organic spread, all home-made. When I say locally sourced, I mean locally sourced. The eggs came from chicken that the Inn actually keeps itself. We met all of the Inn's animals (none of them live inside, not to worry if you have allergies) the following day, and the Innkeepers (who live at the Inn; there is not 24-hour service here like there would be at a chain hotel) were full of knowledge as to local activities and sights to see. We saw several things on their recommendation and were not disappointed. All in all I would absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone who needs to stay in the area!
